Spark-A-Change (SAC) Foundation
SAC was born out of the conviction that meaningful literacy enables transformation of lives and is imperative to progress, both individual and societal. Every child, regardless of socio-economic strata, has a right to quality education, mentorship and equal opportunities to realize and maximize his/her potential.
Most SAC children attend municipal or privately-aided schools and come from families with no formal education. Parents have aspirations of a better future through educating their children. Inadequate guidance and emphasis on “rote learning” results in children being “exam ready” without any real learning. SAC strives to provide remedial education in a joyous, positive, and encouraging ambiance to enable children to discover and realize their talents and potential.
